3 Halkin Street, Grosvenor PIaee. 4th July.

My dear Mr. Andersen,

A gentleman, Mr. Lloyd of 30 Dorset Square, who has visited Denmark, and was mueh disappointed not to have made your acquaintance there, as he is an ardent admirer of your charming works, came to our house last night on purpose to meet you, but he was detained so late at a dinner party, that he did not get to Halkin Street until you had gone, which was a great vexation to him. He wishes to call upon you, and I promised to write a note mentioning him to you by way of introduction. I think he said he would call on you on Monday Morning, but do not detain yourself at home to wait for him. I trust that you feel better this morning, and are not the worse af coming to us last night; your company was much valued I assure you, and all those who had the pleasure of being introduced to you were delighted. My friend Dr. Elliotson seldom goes to evening parties, and he only came last evening to see you. He is the patron of Mesmerism in England, and a very clever man. I hope you may be able to find time to come and see me once more before you leave England. If you should call again at the Danish embassy, you know it is quite near us. With our united kindest regards, and many thanks for your company yesterday Evening; believe, me

dear Mr. Andersen,

Yours most sincerely,

A. S. Bushby.
