Dear Friend.

The royal actor Mantzius, an artist of first rank in both tragedy as well as comedy, brings you this letter. Already as a young student he appeared on stage at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, and has now achieved great importance. He is an excellent reader of scenes from Shakespaere's Falstaff, comedies by Holber, and eveny my fairy tales. He takes his vacation this year in Holland, to acquant himself with the state of acting there, and with the people. I recommend him to you. If you knew him as an artist, he would need no recommendation ...
