Dear Mr. Andersen,
I am sorry the Athenæum came too late last evening to reach you the same night, but I lose no time in sending it. I wonder who wrote the review - whoever he is - he is an ass. However his having pronounced your book to be dangerous, will increase its sale, by exciting the curiosity of the public. I enclose 2 notes for your perusal, which I received yesterday in answer to invitations to meet you on the evening of Friday the 3rd July. Of course you know Harrison Ainsworth by name, the writer of the other note, Mr. Lloyd, is a very elever and rising young barrister. You need not take the trouble to return them.
Your work is not reviewed in the Literary Gazette of yesterday.
yours very sincerely,
A. S. Bushby.
